25-05-2011 Of note to members, buy-back time does not count for years of service related to severance pay; acting pay does not apply to the severance pay amount; and severance is being paid out at the employees substantive position. Severance pay does not increase the best five years even though it is being paid during a time of employment and is taxable. Please visit the PSAC website for more information on severance payouts.
